Personality
Kaya takes things very seriously until she loses in a battle. She then contains feelings of worthlessness and has thought several times of suicide because of it. She is easy to get along with, but if you are weak and it shows, she will push you aside and have nothing to do with you. She is determined and she is hoping to reach her goals; achieving bankai, having kids, etc...

History
Kaya was usually shy and it was rare for her to speak a work. She graduated the academy where she was thrown into the Renosuke household and was under the supervision of Kento Renosuke. He is higher society and treats Kaya like she is trash. She eventually got fed up with his crap and moved out into her own apartment.

Kaya abducted Mitaka into the Renosuke family when she saw her and saved her from the brink of death. Kaya got accepted into Squad 11 because Kenpachi thought she had spunk and he adored that. She usually spits at the ground towards him when he says something she does not like and it gets him riled up and wanting to spar. They do and Kaya, of course, loses every time, but vows to get stronger.

Kaya was on an escort mission where Hanatarou had to protect her - Kento's orders. They met and for whatever reason, she felt as though she had fallen in love. It was odd since she hates the weak and pathetic, which is what she thought he was, but that did not set her off. She found him amusing and 30 years later, they started dating and eventually wind up having kids.

She eventually dies giving birth to her second kid.

Battle Information:
Weaknesses
Kaya is horrible with hand to hand combat. If her sword falls and her hands get tied or become useless, she is pretty much out of luck. If she had to hold herself up using just brute strength, she would die.

Strengths
Kaya uses kidou and her shikai to her advantage. She hides the fact she knows how to use shikai and kidou from Kenpachi due to the fear that he could release her from the squad. She relies solely on her ability to wield her weapon to her advantage.

Zanpaku-to: Hontoumaru (Truth)

Spirit: A fiery fox that holds much wisdom and often has to save Kaya's sorry ass.

Release phrase to Shikai state: Brace yourself, Hontoumaru! He then turns into fire and she uses the fire to the best of her advantage. Usually, when in the world of the living, she leaves with a huge puddle of fire which causes citizens to go crazy.

Miscellaneous:

-Kaya eventually brings home a cat from the world of the living and names it, 'Neko', since she is so boring.

-She loves anything 'pretty', which makes Hanatarou fairly lucky.
